CRAPS
Craps is an easy game to play but does include some very complex betting choices, your well advised as a beginner to stick to the simple bets until you have a good overall feel for the game. It is actually easier than it looks
Craps is played with two dice with the possible numbers rolled are 2 through to 12. The craps table layout may look a bit confusing due to the vast number of different bets that can be made and because the layout at both ends of the table are exact mirror reflections of each other, this is simply so more players can play at any one time, you only need to pay attention to one side or the other where you will be placing your own bets. In basic craps play there is really only one bet being placed, you are trying to guess the dice total when rolled by a player to win.
The basic Pass Line Bet:
• The bet is placed on the area marked "Pass Line”.
• The Pass Line bet is a series bet which means the person rolling the dice might have to roll a series of time before the outcome is known.
• The first roll in a series is called the come out roll and it is different from the rest of the rolls in the series.
The Come Out Roll Explained:
• 7 or 11 are automatic Pass Line winners and the series ends
• 2, 3, or 12 are CRAPS which means they are Pass Line losers and the rolling ends
• Any other number rolled 4, 5,6,8,9 or 10 becomes the shooter's starting point if you like and the rolls continue
The Rolls Continued
If the roller of the dice better known as the “shooter” establishes a point as above the series of rolls continues. The object of the game now is for the shooter to roll their point number again before they roll a 7.
• If any number other than the point or a 7 is rolled, nothing happens and the shooter rolls again.
• If the point number is rolled, the “Pass Line” bets win and the series of rolls is over.
• If a 7 is rolled, Pass Line bets lose and the series ends, this is known as a 7 out!
That’s the basic bet explained and now you understand it you will soon pick up the rest by simply following the action, playing craps online is excellent as there is help buttons available which explain what other kind of bets are available plus the payout you can expect.
