Well I won Sunday's ticket, in the shortest HU ever against hoerb. :celebrate:

And thanks to Imner who had figured out my game, for all his chips.

But shame on me, I was not prepared to be directly entered into the same evening's deepstack 50k which started exactly 30 seconds later. Call it age or whatever, but my mind was with the next morning's (today's) meetings, and the mere thought of playing until 3am to go ITM, or 6am or later to go deep, sent me to insta snooze. I started well though, doubled up in my first hand and cruised at 2-3 starting stacks for the first two hours, but then accepted a coin flip which I usually avoid, and got out before getting even close to the money.

Sorry guys for the bad use of the forum token, I won't play the Sunday qualifiers again. I just can't make good use of a Sunday late night deep stack tournament token.

 Nice one , memesito. You played well and deserved to win, but remember there is always a next time. Thanks for the tip that you don't like coin flips, noted.

The game opening up happened to me 1 week too. Better luck next time.

I haevn't decided who to give my chips to this week. I'm thinking maybe one of the ladies, then again poor  stegs is going through a bad spell and needs rescuing, I hate to see these novices getting disheartened

Thanks for your encouraging words, but no I did not try my best.
And since I won't be able to play until Monday morning unless I quit my day job, there is no hope that
this will change anytime soon. Go get those chips Sunday, stegs!

Very unlucky hoerb, i could not believe it when the 333 flop came up,i thought you had the fullhouse and to get it twice was sick, at this stage i am not doing the ticket justice, had a couple of poor hands and am low stack at table. I agree with you maybe 2 seats like the saturday one would be good if it can be arranged.

I know you are disappoined with the way you lost, hoerb but you are playing well and definitely on my radar as one of the main players to beat. Keep trying, you will make it. Can't help thinking that with KK you wanted him in the hand and that's the risk you take. I find it hard to imagine stegs calling an allin with a 3 in his hand even if he had A 3 so maybe you need to look at your betting strategy, however, it was a sick hand the way it played out

Of course I doubled him up when he needed it and, while like most players I don't like being slow rolled by pocket AAs, this has become more common and I should have spotted it. Leopards and spots come to mind.

What is right and wrong in poker though ?? You could have have called me with K 10 had flopped 2 pair ? Perhaps i did slow down a little bit with them i suppose, not intentionally,of course i put you on a king so felt i was good. Crashed and burned in the challenge am absolutely fuming i played awful and awful is too good a word. Tried aggressive but was missing flops and opponent hitting them,it happens, better luck next time.

Thanks imner and cryptic i will try harder next time! Imner there are a few irritations in poker bad beats etc,nut was not aware losing to aces was one of them,i have never gone all-in with aces and never will, think this may be the first time i have had them with you, perhaps you will know if we meet with them again, but think your playing that hand everytime with KQ and a K on the flop no ??
