Barney Frank is an American politician representing the Massachusetts 4th congressional district, who is well-known for opposing anti-gambling legislation.  He wants to remove the United States online casino gambling ban, and has stated that there is a new bill under consideration.

Many online casinos pulled out of the US after the UIGEA (Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act) was passed.  Some online casinos remained despite the difficulties connected with depositing funds by their US players.  Frank is working hard to repeal the UIGEA.
