Intertops Casino is one of the Microgaming-powered online casinos that left the United States market, along with Microgaming network, after they were forced to do so in response to the UIGEA (Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act) that was adopted into law in the US.

Since Microgaming online casinos do not service US players, Intertops Casino devised a system that allows them to use different software in order to return to the United States market. They chose to continue their relationship with Microgaming, while at the same time offering US players a new version of their online casino powered by Real Time Gaming online casino software. Real Time Gaming never left the US market.

Intertops has been running an online casino, the Green Casino for non-US players, powered by Microgaming, and started a new division called the Red Casino. The Red Casino is powered by Real Time Gaming, and is open to both Intertops US and non-US players.

Microgaming, however, has told Intertops that they will sever all ties with the online casino operator because of their recent changes to also accept United States citizens as customers.

Michl Posch, the head of marketing for Intertops, had the following to say about Microgaming: “Intertops Casino is proud to have been powered by such a reputable, market-leading, gaming software provider over the past decade.”

The two-casino system may have been a good idea by Intertops Casino, but the political situation in the US will make the road to legalization of online casinos a long ride, and has therefore caused Microgaming to put a red light in front of Red Casino at this time.
