Interactive Lottery Player Wins £850,000 in UK National Lottery

One must marvel at the technology that is used today, although it is something that most of us take for granted. The fact that people can choose their numbers and buy lottery tickets online, or via their mobile devices, is certainly a change from the time when the only way a lottery could be won was by showing up in person with the winning ticket.

A BBC report this week announced that a lottery ticket was won by a mystery lottery winner. It is known that the most recent mega-winner of the United Kingdom’s National Lottery is from Wales, and that he won the lottery after choosing the winning numbers and purchasing a ticket either online or via a mobile device.

The National Lottery operator, Camelot, said that all they knew of the man who won the UK National Lottery, was that it was won by playing the game interactively, either via the World Wide Web, or via text entry, and that he is known as Mr. F, and he is from Powys, Wales. Mr. F won the very pleasing amount of £850,000, with no actual lottery ticket passing through his hands.

On the 14th November, 2009, the winner managed to match all six numbers in the Lotto, which took him on to his £850,000 win.

A spokesperson for the UK National Lottery said of Mr. F that he “banked this fantastic prize with just a few simple clicks Рhe didn’t even have to pick up a ticket.”
