The Arkansas Scholarship Lottery has always given players good value with their instant lottery tickets and they have recently introduced a new program called Points for Prizes.

Players are now able to earn points when visiting the lottery’s website and entering their non-winning instant scratch-off tickets. The points can then be redeemed for exciting merchandise.

Arkansas Scholarship Lottery introduced Play It Again on September 28th giving players the opportunity of having a second chance of winning the top prize in any of the eligible instant-win games. More than 100,000 players have since registered for an online player services account on the lottery’s Web site and $169,000 has been awarded to date.

Current members of Play it Again were able to have their point balances revealed on January 19th by entering their non-winning tickets over the past few weeks while current and new members can earn points by continuing to enter tickets.

On Monday, February 8th, the Points for Prizes online store will open for business enabling players to begin redeeming their Points for Prizes points for exciting merchandise. There will be many different items available at the online store including sporting goods and clothing and the store will be refreshing their inventory from time to time so that players can visit the store often to see the new stock.

Lottery officials stated that the object of the points program is to give players more value for their instant-win ticket purchases and in the process to discourage players from littering by dropping their non-winning tickets on the ground.
