Deleware to add Table Games

The Governor of Delaware didn’t take any time at all to sign a bill which would allow the current racetrack casinos, all three of them, to add table games to their establishments.
This legislation was approved by state lawmakers on Thursday afternoon. Governor Jack Markell also signed his own signature that evening.
The Governors spokesman thought that table games may be in place by as soon as this upcoming summer at Harrington Raceway, Dover Downs, and Delaware Park. Currently these places only have slot machines available for their patrons.
The addition of table games will undoubtedly add quite a bit of excitement to the racetrack casinos and there will be plenty of regulars which will be thankful for the new addition.
Although there will be some happy people due to this decision, there are also those who will be unhappy about it. Atlantic City will not find this decision to be good news; it follows Pennsylvania’s legalization of table games which took place earlier in the month.
A gaming analyst has made speculations that Pennsylvania and Delaware combined could bring down the Boardwalk’s revenue which is generated from table games by a significant amount, possibly as much as 15%.
The introduction of these table games can draw attention from residents of the Baltimore area, as well as Washington D.C.
This one change in legislation will make a huge difference to the Casinos and really help to get people in from other surrounding areas. This can really help to boost the economy in that area as well.
