FullTilt Rumors of FBI Raids Spread across the Internet
Feb 22, 2010
Several websites are announcing that players of FullTilt.com have been receiving unannounced visits from the FBI regarding their transactions on Full Tilt.
These articles state the FBI visits took place in Washington State and the players were being interviewed in person.
The story makes it appear as if authorities are hot on the heels of Full Tilt with their sights zoomed right in on them. It’s no wonder why many players first reaction is concern when stumbling on the story.
So far, this appears to be no more than a fictional story made up from someone perhaps wanting to ruffle some feathers in the online poker scene.
However, this rumor continues to spread across the Internet. Some players are taking it for the rumor it appears to be, while others are showing some concern.
Washington State is one of the stricter states with regards to online gambling. Washington state laws actually make online gambling a felony.
This may be one reason why the writer of the story chose Washington as the place of incident when making up this apparently fictional piece.
Players can rest a little easier knowing this story appears to be no more than a bored person’s workings with a little too much time on their hands.
We won’t believe it until a reliable source sites it as true. However, no such source has been found as of now.
If you are a player on Full Tilt, you can rest easy in knowing that this story appears to have all of the makings of fiction.
