House Financial Services Committee approved Online Gambling Bill

There is great news for online casino players who reside in the US. The House Financial Services Committee approved the bill which could lead to the licensing and regulating of online gambling in the US.

This has been a tug of war battle which has had both its ups and downs. The online gambling battle in the US has had nonstop action and has kept many online gamblers sitting on the edge of their seats for quite some time now.

The approval of this bill shows just how far the acceptance of online gambling has come since Barney Frank, the Committee Chairman, attempted to stop the implementation of the UIGEA act.

There were two politicians, both from the state of California, who must be given credit for doing a substantial amount to amend the bill in a way which helped to ensure that it would pass. Both Democrat Brad Sherman and Republican John Campbell deserve much respect for all they did for this bill.

The amended bill received quick praise from the Poker Players Alliance. In fact, there are many others who are pleased with the outcome.

This is a huge positive for online casino players and online casinos. It may lead to many more changes and many people to begin viewing online gambling in a whole new light.

Poker has played a major part in putting gambling in many people’s living rooms lately due to the amount of new poker shows being aired. There are many people holding their breath and hoping this bill goes all the way.
