In an attempt to entice the President to accept the invitation to the Irish Open over the Easter weekend, Paddy Power has pledged an amount of $1,000,000 to the tournament fund and enlisted the help of sexy cheerleaders Sara Kavanagh and Pippa O’Conner to promote the event.

Paddy Power stated that there has to be a strong Irish connection with a name like O’Bama and that the President has Irish roots that can be traced as far back as the 1850’s.

President Obama has admitted to being a Texas Hold’em player himself and Paddy Power is hoping that he will have business to attend to on that side of the Atlantic at the beginning of April so that he can stop by and try his luck.

The 2010 Irish Open which takes place in the Burlington Hotel in Dublin from Friday 2nd to Monday 5th April 2010 is the longest running No Limited Texas Hold’em poker tournament in Europe and the second longest in the world after the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas.

Paddy Power is holding weekly super satellites to the 2010 Irish Open at the site which run each Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings as well as a selection of daily feeders that has already become hugely popular among players.

The schedule announced by PaddyPowerPoker.com includes the complete timetable of all the side events, which will take place in Dublin’s Burlington Hotel between 1st and 5th April, 2010. Dublin has been the home of the Irish Open 2007.

There are a number of side events scheduled around the Main Event of the Irish Open. The main event itself is a €3,200 + €300 NLH freezeout. It is scheduled to start at 3:30 p.m. on the 2nd of April 2010 and run through till the 5th of April.

Prior to the main event is a €200 + €20 NLH rebuy Super Satellite on 1st April 2010 at 7:00 p.m. On 3rd April 2010 is the €750 + €75 Pot Limit Omaha championship. This event is scheduled to run for two days. 4th April 2010 sees the start of two side events – the two-day long €1,500 + €150 NLH freezeout and the €300 + €30 Ladies NLH championship. On 5th April 2010 is the €270 + €30 NLH Scalps freezeout.
