5 CARD DRAW 7-A
A-7 Five Card Draw is a game player with 2 to 5 players, removed from the deck are all 2’s, 3’s, 4’s, 5’s and 6’s. The game can be played as either no limit, pot limit or fixed limit. As in the more popular Texas Hold’em this game is played with a dealer button and blinds, the player to the left of the dealer posts the small blind and the player to his left posts the big blind.
Each player is dealt 5 cards face down and betting commences with standard options to call, raise or fold. After this round as in 5 card draw players can discard up to 5 of their cards and draw new ones from the remainder in the deck. In the event of not enough cards being available the discards are shuffled and used. Betting commences until all players have called or passed, in fixed limit games there will be a maximum of 4 bets before betting is capped i.e. 3 raises of the initial bet. The winner is whoever holds the best hand in normal poker hand rankings. An Ace however can be used to form the lower part of a straight for example A-7-8-9-10.
