DEUCE TO 7 LOWBALL
One of the most exciting and becoming ever more popular is Deuce to Seven Low Ball Poker, this is a draw poker game where the worst poker hand is the best.
The game is played with a dealer button and blinds the same as the more popular Texas Hold em which gets the action going. Each player at the table is dealt five cards face down. There is a round of betting, where you have the option to call, raise or fold. Players still left in the hand after the first round of betting now have the opportunity to draw cards.
Drawing means you can try and improve your hand by throwing away some of the cards in your hand and replacing them with new ones from the deck. Players can discard all of their cards if they wish or stand pat meaning change none. After the drawing has been completed a further round of betting takes place followed by the show down, the player with the best Deuce to 7 Low Ball Hand Wins.
In 2-7 low ball, straights and flushes DO count against your low hand and aces are always high. The best possible hand is: 7, 5, 4, 3, 2. Remember it’s the lowest value poker hand not the lowest hand that wins the game and aces are high!
