POT LIMIT TEXAS HOLD'EM

Pot Limit Texas Holdem Poker is played according to the usual rules of Texas Holdem Poker and is a combination of the variants Limit Texas Holdem and No Limit Texas Holdem. In this variant raises are, as the name already says, only allowed until the height of the current active pots. The amount that an active player must bring in in order to stay in the games, is also counted with the active pot. The stake specification is according to the specification of No Limit Texas Holdem Poker, and specifies Small Blind and Big Blind.

For whom is Pot Limit Texas Holdem Poker suitable

Because the maximum stake is the height of the pot, the use of pressure through all-ins is impossible, especially at the beginning of a game. This reduces the number of fanatics and maniacs at the table. So it usually does not happen that a player can go all-in before the first community cards are uncovered (Flop). This is because the pot is at this time still too small. An all-in situation preflop could only happen if at least two players are so convinced of their hand that they increase mutually. But then still the increase of stakes can not go higher than the all-in, which is in no way comparable with an all-in in the form of a bluff. Also it is impossible to be suddenly confronted with an all-in of an opponent after the river card and during a rather passive game. But of course, you also don't have that possibility.
Pot Limit Texas Holdem is also very suitable for players who want to switch from the Limit variant to the No Limit variant and for players who think that the No Limit variant is not exciting enough but the Limit Variant too unpredictable, because of the many unqualified all-ins by would be profs. This concerns especially the online variants.

Conclusion

Pot Limit Texas Holdem Poker is a mixed variant of both Texas Holdem Variants, and combines the moderated game of the Limit variant with the excitement of the No Limit variant.

Please notice the following: when we talk about all-ins, we are always talking about active all-ins and not about passive all-ins that occur when a player doesn't have enough chips left to call.
